FLOCK, Betty Ramsay

Flock, Mrs. Betty, 22 year old wife of Lt. Howard R. Flock, passed away late Sunday in Crawfordsville hospital after an illness of six weeks. Less than a year ago she was married to the prominently known young officer from Russellville. Their first anniversary would have been July 13. Mr. Flock an Army officer was stationed in England, and near the fighting front. He received the stunning news from back home this week.  A native of Parke County, she was born 2 June 1922 in Greene Twp. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ramsay of Russellville community. She attended Russellville school and was well known. Mrs. Flock was a member of the Federated Church in Russellville.  Survivors are the husband; and infant son, William Herschell; her parents; two brothers Corporal Fred Ramsay of Camp Pickett, Virginia, Everett Ramsay of Russellville; two sisters, Beulah and Joyce Ramsay at home, her Grandmother Mrs. Cora Hazlett of Greene County. - mw
